Below is some more info about the Lebanon SUmmer project as per my previous email:
 
 Lebanon Summer Project
- Dates: 25th Sept to 2nd/3rd Oct 2011
- We will be doing a combined medical clinic with drs and nurses from the Joyce Meyer Ministry team from the States.
- A training conference on PRAYER led by Rev Victor Pandian will be held in conjunction with 2 days of mobile clinics ( one @ Tripoli, the other likely @ the women's jail in Jbeil :venues to be confirmed)
- An evangelistic event at the lebanese university to reach out to the MB students
- We need doctors, medical students, nurses and any other healthcare or non-medical people.
- Confirmed for trip: Jonathon Yeo, Loo Min Min, Dora Cheong(" rel="nofollow">)
- Rough programme:
25 sep :leaving Singapore ( Qatar airways - SGD 1375 incl taxes)
26 sep: arrive Beirut 11am
27 sep: sightseeing and travel to conference place at night
28 sep: 1st clinic full day
29 sep: training conference
30 sep :2nd day of clinic (north with the team of Joyce Meyer)
1 October: 2nd day of training conference
2 October: Sunday church. Dep Beirut 9pm. Arrive Singapore 7.30pm 3rd Oct.
(N/B: For those who have to be at work on 3rd, depart Beirut 1st Oct 9pm)

Thanks so much for your interest in Lebanon! This medical mission trip is a partnership between the healthcare ministry of Singapore Campus crusade for Christ and Lebanon Life Agape med ministry ( also campus crusade).
We started the mobile clinic just last year when i spent 3 months in Beirut working with Sarine- the only Lebanese med ministry staff then. She is a nurse who has a calling from God to reach out to healthcare students and professionals, who will in turn share the gospel with patients throughout the country.
Lebanon itself is a beautiful land with very warm people. There are ard 16 different religions. A large number are "christians": eg maronite or catholics but true believers are less than 1%. There is religious freedom in Lebanon which is the only Arab country that is not officially muslim. Of course, there are areas where radical muslim Hezbollah reside and south of the country where it borders with Israel that are not safe for travellers to venture to.

  This trip, we are planning a 2 day prayer conference where uncle Victor Pandian, a veteran CCC staff from S'pore will hold a training seminar for both lebanese n singapore teams. The team from Joyce Meyer consists of drs n nurses from the States and are visiting Leb at the same time. They requested to hold a joint clinic with us one of the days so we are doing that for the very 1st time!
Airtix there via qatar airways is ard sgd 1650. Accomodation( usu at the confetence venue with dormitory facilities n meals) should be another sgd 500. Still to be confirmed.
